The old addage "you get what you pay for" holds true for your pet's nutrition as well as many other things.  We pride ourselves in carrying several lines of all natural pet foods.  These foods have no artificial colors, preservatives, and do not contain "filler" ingredients that only serve to produce more fecal matter and provide no nutrition.  Their main protein source is meat, not vegetable protein.  Animals will survive and even be overweight on almost ANY pet food, the difference in the quality of the food is the difference in your pets overall health.  Poorer quality foods contribute to increased fecal production, increased shedding, dry, brittle hair coat, flaky skin, and most importantly food allergies.  Dogs and cats with food allergies tend to have itchy skin, especially feet and ears, and typically will get recurrent ear infections year round.  High quality foods allow you to feed less and promote healthy skin and hair coat, and less stool production.

Prescription diets
We carry several lines of prescription diets.  Each line has their own version of a diet for a certain disease process.  We have selected the diet we feel does the best at controlling the disease as well as the diet that has the highest palatability for each food we carry.  We can special order in other foods from these manufacturers if we don't currently have it on hand.  Occassionally your pet may decide he or she doesn't like the prescription diet they've been on and switching brands may peak their interest in food again.
